Me too.
I once witnessed a very kind and thoughtful young man get verbally crucified by another young (they, I think) for merely asking a question. For clarification. For understanding. We were standing around in a group taking a break from a class we were in together.
The weird thing was, we had all known and (I thought) respected each other for many months. but here was this public display of I-don’t-know-what. I got the feeling they needed to walk away feeling righteous somehow. So be it, and good for them. The recipient of the public admonishment/humiliation took it well. When people start outwardly and blatantly disrespecting each other, though, I cringe.
I never told the story before. I’m glad I’m telling it now. I have thought about it for a year now, too. I just like people, that’s all.
And by the way, I agree with the author; I don’t think Musk needs to go out of his way to even comment, IMO. Because, why, though? I’m old school, or out of touch, one of the two…let’s just be nice, right?
